Description Explorer Junior was founded in 2013 in the National University of Singapore (NUS) by 3 graduates who share a common interest in early childhood education.
We believe that every child is a curious explorer, unique and special in his / her own way and should be given the tools, opportunity and environment to explore the world at his / her own pace. The mainstream, one-size-fits-all education system that is prevalent is not able to maximize the potential of every unique child.
Explorer Junior aims to research, design and develop opportunities - programs, products and apps – to nurture every child's curiosity & creativity, allowing them to explore their interests & talents and construct their own meaning of the world through experiencing, tinkering, understanding & innovating. There is a strong emphasis in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) learning and Design Thinking. Our programs and products cater mainly to the 3 to 12 years old children.
Explorer Junior is supported by the National University of Singapore (NUS Enterprise). The Company has also received a Start-up grant awarded by Enterprise Singapore in 2014.
