This position is accountable for the definition and implementation of the Data Strategy and Data Policy to become a data-driven organization. This position also accountable for defining and executing ways for creating business value out of data and ensuring the correct implementation of the Data Governance Framework.
Job Qualifications
- Understanding of the insurance industry and the unique data and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply data-driven insights to business challenges.
- Proven track record of successfully leading data-related initiatives and delivering results, with a focus on developing and executing data strategies.
- Deep understanding of data management technologies, such as data warehouses, data integration tools which are used to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, analytics platforms, and be familiar with Azure Microsoft Data Platform stack. The role should be able to work closely with IT teams to implement and maintain these technologies, as well as lead efforts to drive innovation and create value.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, and other similar technologies.
- Experience with modeling as Head of Data will need to understand how to build and validate models that can be used to derive insights from data.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or business administration, and a master's degree is preferred.
- Driving the creation of a data-driven culture that leverages data and analytics to support decision making and drive business impacts
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that leverages data assets to create business value, enhance customer experience, and advance the company's competitive position.
- Collaborating with business leaders to identify new data-driven opportunities to generate growth, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
- Delivering data-related initiatives in accordance with industry regulations, including data privacy and security requirements.
- Defining data management strategy for the enterprise based on the Group Data Strategy combined with the local business and IT objectives.
- Activating mechanisms to ensure data is managed as a strategic asset within the organization and ensuring quality of critical data in all Systems / Environments.
- Maintaining and updating the Data Governance framework, policies, and procedures for data and information governance.
- Developing and implementing a data literacy program that equips employees with the skills and knowledge needed to use data effectively.
