Local Unit & Position Description

DNV Inspection is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work in our operation in Indonesia.

Purpose of the Role:

To manage the Inspection Operations in Indonesia for internal and external customers. Responsible for all technical, commercial and customer aspects of the business. To manage the inspection business and ensure continued customer satisfaction. Lead the unit developing resources and expanding existing inspector network

Key Accountabilities:

The overlying responsibility is to understand, quote, organise/coordinate resources, and report back to the customer for Inspection services.

The Operations Manager will manage the local inspection teams to follow internal procedures in terms of undertaking the work and building quotes/ commercial proposal with the support of the country BD.

The role requires understanding of several internal systems, including the inspection coordination tool and finance system to invoice and financially manage inspection jobs.

Role Specifications :
  • Provide leadership to lead and motivate the team to achieve regional objectives/KPIs
  • Develop and implement plans for achieving revenue and margin targets for Indonesia, as well as P&L responsibility to ensure long-term business sustainability and profitability
  • Support on business development activities to drive business across the Area, identifying target markets and developing appropriate strategies
  • Leverage on existing customer base to grow business opportunities, as well as lead on the identification of new customers
  • Ensure proper implementation and compliance to local specific and regional HSEQ processes and procedures
  • Ensure high safety standards are always maintained
  • Expand Inspector network to widen our competence portfolio
  • Ensure and monitor accurate budgeting, accounting, and financial / operational reporting
  • Ensure and monitor compliance with legal requirements as defined by DNV and local legislation
  • Plan, coordinate, support, follow-up and improve the financial performance of the unit to ensure long-term sustainable operations
Position Qualifications

Role Requirements:
  • Responsible for budget and operation of the business
  • Ensure AR/WIP targets are diligently met
  • Ensure that Inspection jobs are quoted correctly and with required levels of profitability
  • Demonstrate solid sales and negotiation skills to identify and determine principles of agreements, whilst applying sound commercial acumen
  • Proven track record of meeting, and exceeding, targets
  • Line management responsibility for the Region
Competency Requirements:
  • Proven track record in managing similar inspection business with proven responsibilities on P&L
  • Proven ability in commercial and operational management
  • Excellent networking and communications skills
  • Service oriented and able to deliver the highest standards of customer service
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in a multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrable ability to plan and control budget to meet financial targets
  • Result oriented and cost-minded
  • Ability to think strategically, with knowledge of business drivers/threats
  • Ability to have a positive impact through collaboration and self-accountability
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Fluent in English language (verbal and written)
Technical / Professional Qualificaitons :
  • Experience in the preparation of technical bid proposals, scopes of work and requests for quotations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical
  • 8 Years’ of Experience, preferably in Oil and Gas Inspection
