- Primarily responsible for leading the Indonesian Tropical Oils (Palm & Laurics) team. Own the overall sourcing strategy to deliver key performance and sustainability targets. This position reports into the Global Palm Oils Director.
- Owns the overall Palm and Laurics sourcing strategy for Indonesia, including supplier selection, inbound logistics and storage development.
- Lead the development of the Indonesian Palm Oil & Laurics sourcing team.
- Partner the sustainable sourcing team to deliver Unilever NDPE targets.
- Manage key stakeholders in Unilever Oleochemicals Indonesia (UOI) and in the global Business Groups (BG)
- Partner Global procurement counterparts to drive synergies
- Coordinate with Commodity Risk Management (CRM) team for effective hedging. Provide timely, accurate and actionable insights to drive decision making
- Deep experience with local origination in Indonesia. Strong understanding of different supply chains including top/mid-tier supplier and smallholders origination.
- Strong understanding of palm sustainability requirements, including supplier traceability to plantations and NDPE.
- Prior experience in managing an origination team in Indonesia.
- Good communication skills to convey complex market dynamics in simple language to internal stakeholders in a MNC organization
- Ability to generate market views through interaction with local industry counterparts.
