GOALS
The goals of the Lawyer are to: * Provide support to the TraceWorthy Consulting Legal Manager to facilitate all legal service for both the Company and the Company’s clients and other stakeholders
- Gain valuable working experience across a variety of industry sectors
- Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labour law, partnerships, international ventures, stakeholders)
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defence strategies
The output and outcomes of the Lawyer role involve taking direction from the Legal Manager to provide quality and timely research in specific legal services areas to fulfil client needs and contribute to the legal operations of the business as a whole.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lawyer areas of responsibility, under the supervision of the Legal Manager, include: * Legal Administration
- The Lawyer is responsible for collecting, reviewing and interpreting legal and other relevant information for the Company, including anticipating future regulatory trends that may influence the Company’s business decisions.
- The Lawyer is integral in providing research, analysis, drafting and administrative support to ensure all legal advice and all legal documents are accurate, effective and timely for both internal and external use.
- The Lawyer is responsible for conducting investigations and documentary research to inform decisions made by the Company and the Company’s clients.
- The Lawyer will draft various legal documents and support letters; attend client meetings, including taking comprehensive minutes; and add value to the TraceWorthy Consulting team as requested and as required.
- The Lawyer will be required to draft, develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for all legal products and services in line with procedures and regulations, including using the internal Company database system.
- The Lawyer will be required to manage the Legal Manager's diary, attend internal and external meetings and communicate with various stakeholders about topical matters as required.
- The Lawyer will be required to provide counsel, assistance and support in creating structures and environments for ethical and legal compliances and support enforcement of global compliance policies that are applicable across multiple business units and multiple jurisdictions.
- The Lawyer will be required to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, account owners and managers, and other departments to educate a variety of stakeholders on compliance, legal and data protection requirements and to continuously promote a culture of compliance, integrity and data protection in all dealings.
- Relationship
- The Lawyer will be required to provide support and advice to other internal staff members in a wide context of matters.
- The Lawyer will be required to communicate with clients and other external stakeholders as per the Legal Manager’s directive.
- Coordination
- The Lawyer may be required to develop key relationships with different government departments to ensure efficiency for the business as per the Legal Manager’s directions.
- Competition
- By understanding competitors, the Lawyer will provide reports to the Legal Manager about how the Company can increase its market share and improve on its services.
- General Workload
- The Lawyer agrees to devote a minimum of 40 hours per week to said services.
- Normal working hours are 8.00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour break for lunch.
- The Lawyer understands that the normal place of employment is the PT TraceWorthy Consulting office, and the position requires daily attendance from Monday to Friday each week.
- Communication
- Maintain open communication with the Company’s clients and respond to queries about Legal matters at the direction of the Legal Manager.
- Liaise with the Company’s employees directly about policies and procedures, including the required documents for the efficacious provision of the Company's legal services.
- Continuous Quality Improvement
- Maintaining the Company’s databases in Air Table, ensuring they are always populated with the latest information.
- Maintaining technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies.
- Staying connected to emerging technologies / industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
The Lawyer must concern him / herself with the managerial significance of the regulatory environment of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the broader international environments of the Company’s clients.
The Lawyer’s duties are integral as an aid to identifying, analysing and evaluating the principles of law, applying legal methodology in a corporate context and the developing systems and tools for use by the Company and its clients.
The Lawyer is accountable for developing and maintaining the repository for inputs, processes and outputs relative to the Company’s legal department.
The duties of the Lawyer include:
Daily Tasks * Scheduling and maintaining the Legal Manager’s diary, including managing the legal department’s Priority List
- Recording, circulating and maintaining internal and external meeting minutes
- Advising the Company’s administrative staff on legal matters under the direction of the Legal Manager
- Performing research, including due diligence reviews, laws and regulations, and case law, as directed
- Drafting documentation such as leases, deeds, resolutions, agreements, opinions, and other legal documents under the direction of the Legal Manager
- Submitting documents, applications and other relevant material to external stakeholders, including government offices, notaries, clients, suppliers, etc.
- Compiling weekly progress reports for the Legal Manager, including on the status of client files
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Additional services and / or amendments to the services described above may be agreed upon between the parties.
Persyaratan
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business Law or equivalent
- A valid PERADI license
- A valid passport and / or an Indonesian identification card
- IPK / GPA minimum 3.2
- Minimum 5 years' experience in one or more areas of corporate /commercial or property law or litigation
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in cross-cultural communication in corporate and commercial matters
- Agility and ability to manage complexity
- Prefer experience in legal compliance
- Some experience with international law is desirable
- Advanced in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Confident to work individually or in a team
- Excellent legal strategy formulation and articulation, including ability to assess risk
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including in English language
- Highly organised and able to meet deadlines
- Resilient and emotionally intelligent
- Ability to think strategically to solve problems
- Ability to learn fast, manage complex tasks and multitasks
- Excellent interpersonal-facing skills
The Lawyer and the Legal Manager will together develop a set of measurable performance goals at three months of employment with TraceWorthy Consulting.
The standard performance goals for the Lawyer are:
- Complete data entry and reporting related tasks on time
- Adhere to the Company’s policies and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Maintain Company and client privacy and confidentiality in all dealings
