MTU Indonesia (Rolls-Royce Power Systems) is now hiring a Marine Sales Manager for our Jakarta office. This person will be brought in to further develop, manage and be responsible for our marine engine sales in an effective manner. Your role will be to achieve department targets, business in country targets and to meet company objectives, in accordance to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.

Key Accountabilities:

To arrange for frequent sales calls and customer visits to do presentations of MTU Marine solutions and create inquiries, to follow up inquiries and to maintain relationships.

Prepares and conducts sales correspondence and reports and keeping abreast to market information and developments through market research and training.

Possess strong communication abilities, able to work in in matrix organization and the capacity to facilitate teamwork across departments.

To execute customer orders with precision and meet promised delivery time.

Solid understanding of application and engineering to provide solutions to customer needs

Must acquire and review customer needs and its technical problem, making recommendations to the team to satisfy needs and develop solutions.

Designs, specifies, verifies and supports mechanical and electrical engineering systems and their components where applicable, for engine, gearbox, various type of propulsion system and its associated equipment.

Provides professional advice, guidance, expertise and action on all matters related to the quality of the products or services provided by the MTU solution.

Ensures that product, plant and processes meet safety and reliability requirements through all project phases and demonstrates this through external and internal regulatory requirements.

To achieve exceptional customer service level and ensure that customer complaint, if any, are handled and resolved properly and quickly.

Working closely with our Mobile Marine Team in Singapore & Application Engineering team in Germany.

To keep an updated record of customer data and engine population as accurately as possible.

To perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Degree in Marine Engineering or related field with considerable experiences in Sales or Application Engineering field of diesel engines. Proven experience in the commercial and government Marine segment is preferred.

Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and ability to work independently, hunt for business opportunities and with others in cross-functional teams with strong Influencing, negotiation and persuasive skills

Excellent track record in achieving and exceeding sales target, secure breakthrough orders, project management abilities and accomplishing target within due time

Proficient in written & spoken English.
