About the Company:

Our client is an established and leading media company with diverse portfolios of brands and services. They are looking to expand their digital media business aggressively in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing a company's overall operations including delegating and directing agendas, driving profitability, managing company organizational structure, and strategy, and communicating with the board of directors.
  • Monitoring the progress of projects and providing feedback to writers on topics such as content quality, tone, and consistency with the publication’s style guidelines
  • Managing and overseeing the editorial staff including hiring new employees, evaluating their performance, and providing training and feedback
  • Create content planning for the platform (website and social media)
  • Communicating with writers on topics such as upcoming deadlines, feedback on drafts of articles or book chapters, and changes in the scope or direction of projects
  • Reviewing and approving articles for publication, which may involve editing for style, grammar, spelling, or other elements of structure or content
  • Determining the type of editorial content that should be featured in the publication, including articles, reviews, interviews, and other types of content
  • Evaluating and accepting or rejecting submissions based on their merit, relevance to the publication’s mission, and adherence to style guidelines
  • Managing the publication’s budget by negotiating rates with freelance writers, assigning work to staff writers, and acquiring rights to publishing images or other content from outside sources
  • Reviewing and approving artwork, illustrations, or other visual elements for publication in the publication’s pages
  • Coordinating with advertising staff to design ads that will be effective in promoting products
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Communications, or other relevant fields
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in the Media industry
  • Have strong communication skills and analytical thinking
  • Strong leader who possesses exceptional writing and research skills
  • Solid experience in leading sizable editorial teams
  • Commercially savvy to direct business strategy & objectives
  • Experience in both online & offline media channels would be a strong advantage
