For a company which is building digital solutions for 60 million merchants, a reliable technical infrastructure is the backbone and one of the most crucial pieces in the journey. We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer to join a team of highly motivated engineers working on Infrastructure provisioning and monitoring at scale. Be part of the team that delivers the high velocity and high quality infrastructure on AWS. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 1 years of automation experience with a passion to drive the DevOps/SRE best practices within the organization.
Required Skills/Experience
- Master's / Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Equivalent Experience
- 1+ years of Systems/Applications automation experience in 24x7 Production Services environments
- 1+ years of experience developing infrastructure projects with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects on top of AWS
- Extensive Experience with Infrastructure as code utilizing tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Docker and AWS ECS in production workloads
- Clear understanding of Agile development methodologies, DevOps, SRE best practices, and the product development lifecycle
- Experience with modern cloud web development practices (microservices architectures, REST interfaces, etc.)
- Proficient and competent skills with code/scripting/debugging, e.g., Java, Python, BASH
- Experience with enterprise monitoring, alerting and logging solutions (e.g., AWS Cloudwatch, DataDog, PagerDuty, Grafana etc.)
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and related tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Sonarqube, JIRA or equivalent
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCAs) of critical business and production issues
- Collaborate with engineers to deliver solutions, working through the entire development lifecycle to release to Production
- Develop and own best practices/methodologies for provisioning, application scaling, configuration management, capacity planning and monitoring
- Ensure that we are continuously raising our standard of Engineering Excellence (EO) and Operational Excellence (OE) by implementing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
- Participate in conversations and provide technical solutions on escalated production, performance and availability issues
- Ensure that proper telemetry, logging, metrics and alerts are implemented to measure service health and conform to error budgeting
- Practice sustainable incident response as well as participate in peer reviews and blameless postmortems
