We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to drive the sale of our agriculturalequipment to mills, livestock farms, crop farms, and other agricultural producers inIndonesia. Previous experience in selling and marketing agriculture equipment, ideallypriced in the range of $1,000 to $5,000, is a must. Our equipment has a paybackperiod of <1 year and delivers great value to clients for the next 5-10 years. Youshould have an extensive commercial network inclusive of agricultural producers, mills,farms, agents, equipment distributors, and associations/co-ops, among others. Youare expected to spend significant time in the field and be the main liaison with ourclients. Most of our target clients are in East Java. Thus, we are looking for a candidate that comes from this area and is willing to spend most of their time with clients in this region.

  • 4-8 years of sales experience, ideally selling agriculture equipment priced in therange of $1,000 to $5,000
  • Must have an extensive network of agricultural producers, mills, farms, agents,equipment distributors, and associations/co-ops
  • Knowledgeable about crop and livestock operations, value chains, seasonality,etc.
  • Great people, communications, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel around East Java for 2-3 weeks per month
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English are a plus
  • A degree in Business or Agriculture is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Identify and approach potential clients
  • Understand their needs, pitch our product, engage in the negotiations, and closethe sales
  • Oversee successful equipment delivery, and subsequent account managementand client satisfaction
  • Build and manage a network of third-party distributors and agents
  • Deliver against the sales targets
  • Engage in product improvement and development based on the client'sfeedback
