Job Description
The opportunity
Reporting to the Claim Medical Advisor, this position provides unified training development across claims and identifies skill gaps within claims team as a whole. The position is dedicated resource as full-time coach.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical subject matter expertise on case management, incl. in case conferences
- Monitor quality of services from medical service providers
- Provide some medical mentoring/ coaching to claims analysts & Case Monitoring Team, including similar work supporting by vendor partners (TPA included)– flag any significant skill gaps to training coach
- Lead training to upskill new and existing staff, and monitor effectiveness of training to enhance as relevant
- Own tracking of capability and certification levels across Claims
- Monitor effectiveness of training framework and enhance as relevant
- Support technical specialist in technical aspects across Claims
- Supporting education to parties outside claim team, including to Distribution’s trainer, customer education program, other departments.
Education
- Graduation from an accredited medical school with an M.D.
- Indonesia local practicing experience is preferable
- Good understanding of underwriting/claims protocol and philosophy
- FLMI, FLHC/ALHC, FALU/AALU and/or CLU would be assets
- Strong background in technical and medical research with technical writing skills.
- Maintains commitment to goals, measures own work to track progress, while identifying and resolving challenges.
- Team player, passionate, matured and independent in driving and handling counterparts.
- Strong communication, presentation and training skills.
- 5-10 years of insurance medicine experience working for life & health insurers, reinsurance or related businesses, and is registered with the Medical Council of Indonesia (Surat Tanda Registrasi)
