Get to Know the Team:

Ground Intel is part of the Risk Strategy and Ops function of Integrity that covers:

Trust PODs whose main scope is to manage fraud across all Grab businesses and joint ventures

GrabID (IAM Identity Access Management) is the team that manages user access and authentication controls

Risk Intel team keeps Grab ecosystem free from business disruptions and attacks such as Application and device tampering, and data scraping.

GI Team or Ground Intel provides extremely vital fraud intelligence to Integrity TF, which is then used to develop and improve Grab's anti-fraud solution.

Central Ops (Appeals and Investigations team) team that provides support on reviewing appeals, investigates escalations, and validates rules & model results.

Get to Know the Role:

The Ground Intel Analyst works to facilitate investigations by initiating Fraud and Intelligence gathering, recognizing common fraudulent schemes or trends, and continually assessing the changing risks posed by external factors as well as risks coming from internal leaks/sources.

The Day-to-Day Activities:

Conducts fraud verification of reported fraud activities/cases from various sources and cities in countries with Grab operations within SEA.

Obtain evidence, gather ground intelligence on common fraud schemes and trends happening in the market.

Perform fraud research and benchmarking activities to uncover, identify and/or validate new fraud trends.

Develop suspects/players identification, compile suspect/player profile information and identify other associates and other background information.

Monitor and observe fraudulent activities or trends and further conduct research on identified fraud activities, providing solutions to eliminate the fraud activities from Grab's platform. This will require small-scale project management capabilities.

Provide support to internal and external teams in investigation and penetrations or stress test activities where applicable.

Initiate reports on fraud findings to TISS leaders for immediate action/resolution of the problem

Close collaboration with GrabDefence Enterprise by providing professional services to clients which will include but are not limited to potential fraud research activities, platform risk assessments, and ground surveillance.

Travels on a regular basis around South East Asia to conduct investigations.

The Must-Haves:

Trustworthy, discreet, and able to keep and maintain confidentiality of the information handled.

Ability to work independently and able to assess and make decisions while on the ground.

Having an established network of informants is a great advantage.

Must be willing to be relocated or be able to travel every now and then.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Familiarity with setting up reporting metrics; Knowledge of Excel, SQL, or Tableau is advantageous.

Must possess a passport.
