Job Responsibilities
The duties for this role include but are not limited to:
- Report directly to Public Relations Manager
- Support media relations efforts including fulfillment of media requests and pitching
- Develop and maintain up-to-date media lists
- Track media coverage and compile press clippings
- Maintain calendar of opportunities and team deadlines
- Casting for in-house and out-of-house productions
- Assist in the development of press materials, including but not limited to press releases, newsletter articles, and award submissions
- Contribute ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts to increase visibility and understanding of represented brands
- Create content and compose blogs for assigned brand(s)
- Assist with planning and execution of events and productions projects
- Respond to assigned media requests
- Public relations internship experience at an agency or in-house is required, 1+ year experience preferred
- Display an understanding of communications principles as well as knowledge and familiarity of media.
- Stellar writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Detailed oriented and organized
- Experience working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, team environment
- Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
