Job Description

Senior VA/VE Engineer - Batam, Indonesia

Main Job Objective:

· Idea generation of ideas using Value Analysis/Value Methodology concept.

· Work with Cluster VA/VE Managers to meet technical productivity target of the department.

· Drive VA/VE workshops in plant site, supplier site or in the LoB side to build a continuous pipeline of ideas.

· Business case creation for ideas generated by working with different department/functions in order to create the business case.

· Work with Line of Business (LoB) team for any technical queries or further investigation that is needed on the project.

· Input all technical productivity ideas in system to start idea validation and approval process.

· Follow through on projects until completion and savings realization.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Bachelors Degree preferably in Engineering. With masters is an advantage.

· Min 5 years total working experience in functions like R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Technical Purchasing, or cost reduction related department functions preferably in Direct Materials from consumer electronics industry, electric equipment industry similar to Schneider Electric.

· Must have excellent MS office skills specially excel.

· Knowledge in Value Engineering/Value Methodology is definitely an advantage.

· Very good communication skills

· Good analytical skills particularly in cost savings calculations.

· Knowledge in Purchasing, Engineering & Supply Chain particularly in Product Cost Management will be a definitely an advantage.
