Role & Responsibilities
Product Development
- Analyze and crystallize ideas for new investment strategies and products generated by product, investment and distribution areas and provide well-articulated opinions regarding success potentials and overall positioning within the industry and the framework of Allianz Global Investors product strategies.
- Assess overall marketability of new ideas by conducting marketing sounding activities with respective distribution / institutional teams across Allianz Global Investors.
- Lead the complete product development process from idea generation, seeking product committees' approvals, development processes, launch and work closely with product teams across Allianz Global Investors covering Asia. Act as central interface in Indonesia for product launch topics with product specialists, fund managers, product sponsors, operation teams, fund administrators and other relevant functions to identify and address all issues that must be resolved before a successful product launch can occur.
- Oversee all functions pertaining to the creation of new products with the overall goal of ensuring that the products are successfully designed, priced, positioned, launched, promoted and supported in a way that will lead to increased and profitable assets under management for both retail and institutional businesses together with the goal of enhanced product diversification.
- Develop, market, monitor and maintain Sharia products in accordance with regulatory requirements and Sharia principles in capital market. Lifecycle Product Management.
- Responsible to conduct regular analysis for on-going product maintenance including monitoring of assets size, net cash flows, distribution level of distribution share classes, competitors funds, capacities, pricing, profitability, performance, etc.
- Maintain communication with investments and distribution teams to ensure the continued viability of the products and to monitor the need for adjustments in current strategies.
- Lead tasks related to existing products covering necessary changes (including fund repositioning, mergers, closures and other necessary products features' enhancements) and products related submission / approval of the local Regulators with the goal to improve the quality and competitiveness of existing product range.
- Lead product regulatory matters, play a key role to define product regulatory development in partnership with regulator and to keep various stakeholders abreast of the latest regulatory development.
- Perform Sharia related tasks covering Sharia Unit; Sharia Board meeting with the goal to enhance our Sharia governance and offerings.
- Undertake fund-specific as well as firm-level competitive analysis to support overall strategic plan formulation.
- Develop strong partnership with retail and institutional sales channels to define product distribution strategies.
- Formulate strategic plan aiming to capitalize business opportunities by staying abreast of market development related to product innovations, industry trends, updates in regulations etc. covering digital wealth management businesses.
- Implement the defined strategic initiatives in line with the organization corporate strategy by working with various stakeholders.
- Support the ongoing product governance setup by providing regular inputs and product analysis to Indonesia and Asia product related committees.
Qualification & Experience
Degree holder or equivalent
Minimum 6 years' experience in the fund management/wealth management/consultancy industry in product strategy, product development, product management, product specialist area or investment management
Relevant OJK licenses' holder is a plus
Formal diploma/certification from university/official Islamic economic education institution with Islamic economic discipline is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
Very good product knowledge of regulatory and Sharia matters with good relationships with regulators and industry associations
Very good knowledge of all types of fund products covering board spectrum of investment capabilities including equities, fixed income, multi-assets and alternatives products in Indonesia and the Asia Pacific
Very good knowledge of the competitors landscape and regulatory requirements in Indonesia
Very good knowledge on investment/funds research tools such as Morningstar and other local Indonesia funds database
Language
Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa
Other Skills
Excellent presentation skills (proficient in preparing powerpoint presentations; report and business case writing)
Excellent skills in analyzing large amount of data with software/database skills and spreadsheets
Proven project management skills
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
Innovative & analytical (both quantitative and qualitative)
