City Manager of DKI Jakarta team is a young/established/longstanding team responsible for running Grab business and operations in the cities within the region. We make an impact by driving to all business units of GrabCar, GrabBike, GrabExpress, GrabFood, GrabMart, and GrabKios Business operations. We are responsible for developing and driving the right strategy to win the market and shape the ideal supply-demand equilibrium while building a sustainable business model.
Get to Know the Role:
We are looking for a City Manager in DKI Jakarta to lead the business thinking, and operations and represent Grab in DKI Jakarta. We believe a successful candidate has several key skills such as: leadership, complex problem solving, data analysis, critical and structured thinking, and project management.
The Day-to-Day Activities:
Responsible to lead the overall Grab business and operations in the DKI Jakarta area, driving hyperlocal strategy, and collaborating initiatives with external and internal stakeholders to grow business in DKI Jakarta
You will be given speciļ¬c resources (manpower or team, budget) and are responsible to achieve targets for the top line of the business, ensuring the business is running in sustainable growth
You will lead both conceptual and practical problem-solving initiatives with the agility to shift directions as quickly as needed
Accountable to understand the market and competition dynamics, agile in facing the competitive landscape and driving a viable business
Accountable to accept challenging assignments, helping leaders make tough decisions, partnering and overcoming obstacles to deliver results
Accountable to ensure the delivery of end-to-end process, from planning to execution
Responsible for identifying, comprehending, and synthesizing internal and industry data (provided by the analytics team), creating hypotheses of trends, and assessing business risk
The Must-Haves:
Bachelor's/Master's degree preferably in management, business, public administration or engineering
You showcase excellent leadership skills in leading young and talented teams and your ability to connect with people across teams
Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant work as city manager, sales/revenue generator, sales supervisor, government relation, event organization
You are knowledgeable in business process management, identifying, assessing, and controlling risk, and successful initiatives execution
You have strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills, and the ability to adjust and guide discussions at multiple management levels
You have interests in carrying out off-ground activities (including external stakeholder engagement, event organization, and survey arrangements) - willing to be on the ground around 3 days a week
