This function will be reporting to the QHSE Director Indonesia and will be based at Firmenich Indonesia Cileungsi Plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Evaluate quality parameters from production and sampling department
- Manage day to day sampling activities and ensure resources are efficiently utilized.
- Communicate the implementation of a performance driven culture by implementing Continuous Improvement/Lean principles and concepts.
- Ensure cycle time for releasing product is on time
- Coordinate and establish effective working relationship amongst lab technician.
- Guarantee company ethics and ensure Firmenich fundamentals are embedded in daily operations.
Strategic :
- Cascade within QC the site mission & objectives in line with the global & regional strategy to meet business requirements;
- Identify and define, with Indonesia QHSE Director, plant management and business, the key QC projects that will fundamentally change and differentiate the SC over the next strategy period;
- Set priorities and allocate resources accordingly;
- Prepares quality documentation independently for customer requests and submissions relating to the safety/regulatory compliance aspects of Firmenich products;
- Reviews testing parameters if the product meet requirement and re testing if needed
- Discusses, with both internal and external customers various standards
Operational:
- Understanding Food Safety requirement, and Health Safety and Environment;
- Manage and control the QC operation including sensory, analytical and micro controls, with full responsibility to achieve short and medium term objectives;
- Develop, implement and maintain necessary QC operating policies & procedures in close collaboration with corporate subject matter expert to assure implementation of relevant corporate guidelines and assure plant meets business and corporate requirements in any aspect;
- Ensure proper communication of policies/procedures and ensure their understanding by the concerned stakeholders;
- Report KPIs to support achievements of QC objectives;
- Report timely to Indonesia QHSE Director the defined global QC KPIs and related comments (evtl. corrective action plans) demonstrating progess on achieving defined QC/plant targets;
- Ensure successful execution of the key QC projects agreed with Indonesia QHSE Director and plant management that will enable the necessary changes to meet business requirements;
- Manage, evaluate and develop the QC team;
- Ensure establishment and implementation of proper preventive maintenance and calibration program of QC equipment;
- Ensure proper Subcontractor management for externalized analytical controls and equipement maintenance;
- Manage Customer specification requirements;
- Vendor issue QC management;
- Detect, report and correct product failure, purchase RM rejection;
- Customer complaint support where analytical and sensory expertise is required.
