About the role:

THE CHALLENGE

Starting your career is not an easy task - even for our students. Learning new skills and starting (or restarting) your career at the same time is even more difficult. That's why our students need to receive as much support as they can possibly get to ensure their success. This includes both technical and emotional support. As a Student Success manager, you will assist our students to go through their learning journey at RevoU, from the very beginning during their admission process, all the way through their learning and job-seeking journey. You will be responsible for student case management and resolution with the ultimate goal of improving students' experience here at RevoU.

In this role, you will spearhead our initiatives to listen to students' feedback, understand their concerns and work with them to solve it at scale. THE TEAM

We positioned the Student Success team as one of the most crucial functions. We are currently two people strong and will continue to grow. You will lead ambitious young talent who are passionate about education and driven to make a difference. You would be a student success ambassador and a part of the team that helps us manage the overall student experience.

More specifically you will:
  • Effective student case resolution. Build the best system to consistently ensure student case resolutions and student experiences are met
  • Lead the improvement of the student success process (mechanism, flow, etc) through innovation, efficiency gains, and root cause analysis
  • Managing student experience. Work cross-functionally with other teams to establish student performance (student engagement, student cases prevention, etc) in order to drive student retention, reduce churn, and increase student satisfaction
  • Standardized student policy and SOP to treat students. Ensure the alignment of all established policies and procedures related to the student's management (student case policy, student case playbook, handling missing students, etc)
  • Map the student journey throughout their learning period in RevoU from admission to career support to streamline student management and case handling
  • Lead and inspire the team - you are ready to get your hands dirty and lead by example to influence, nurture, and coach your team to unlock their potential that can further scale our impact
Requirements:
  • Impressive problem-solving skills: together with the team, you will handle various and complex student cases with a dynamic situation that need to be solved within a given time. You need to not only be good at problem-solving, but you also need to build the best system to scale the solutions.
  • Structured and process-driven with the ability to keep the big picture in mind. You will manage a broad range of activities hence you will need to prioritize what is the most important out of all the projects (80:20 rule). You need to be able to focus on continuous improvement that is driven by real use cases and data-driven.
  • Beyond strong communication skills: you will work with cross-functional peers, divisions, departments, and experts across different seniority levels discussing a wide variety of topics. You must be able to communicate on different levels in order to build relationships, influence stakeholders, manage expectations, and inspire others.
  • Customer focus (passion): put the customer first. You will work together with the team and other functions to give above and beyond in building and delivering solutions that meet customer expectations without interrupting our internal operations and policies. In other words, you need to do problem-solving iteration to gain a “win-win solution”.
  • Excellent leadership skills. You are going to work with the most talented young people and their achievement is your achievement. You will need to constantly develop them to be better at their job and in return help you to achieve your goal. We put so much focus on developing our talents, you should have the willingness to get your hands dirty, lead by example, and motivate the team through both in-person and remote management.
  • Attention to detail. 1 of our cultural values is a high standard and it has been the key to our operation's success. You need to enjoy double-checking the work of your team and yourself in order to thrive in this role. In short, you need to live by the motto “the devil is in the details”.
