Responsibilities
- Prioritise the laboratory work and technical service activities
- Define the short term and long term plan for the laboratory
- Lead and motivate the team of scientist and technicians and address their development plans
- Ensure that the laboratory operates in a safe manner and adhering to government laws
- Engage the team to provide information to customers on product properties, performance, and benefits
- Visit or interact with customers to do technical product presentation, discussion, and problem solving
- Encourage collaboration with customers on technical projects and generate new projects
- Act as technical product lead or PVT for Tangerang produced products
- Liaise with sales people on technical service requests, updates, and results
- Communicate effectively with other regional and global technical centre's
- Coordinate collaboration with research institutes, universities, and other external partners
- Provide training to technical team, customers, sales, and distributors
- Conduct technical seminars and customer days with customers
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or relevant field; MS degree or PhD is an advantage
- 5-10 years of related laboratory and technical service experience from manufacturer of consumer care products MNCs or from reputable supplier of consumer care ingredients
- Supervisory skills: formulation design; broad knowledge of chemistry of surfactants, emollients, polymers, and active ingredients; knowledge of customers requirements in SEA
