Project Overview and Role:

Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Promoting Rural Incomes through Support for Markets in Agriculture (PRISMA) is a multi-year development program working to accelerate poverty reduction through inclusive economic growth. PRISMA adopts a market systems development approach by partnering with key-stakeholders to improve agriculture market efficiency and sustainably benefit the poor. The program aims to achieve an income increase for a total of 1,000,000 smallholder farming households by 2023. It operates in six provinces of Central Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), West Papua, and Papua.

1.1. Intervention Background
In mostly EJ areas, the number of agricultural labors had a downtrend because of urbanization. As a result, the scarcity of labour occurred and impacted a high labour incentive. Meanwhile, land preparation and harvesting in Agriculture require much labour. To solve this situation, the implementation of agricultural machinery is one of the ways out. Agriculture machinery (Combine Harvesters and Tractors) and Tools can reduce labour costs compared to manual processes, and, nowadays, Agricultural machinery and tools are already on the market.
However, not all locations in EJ areas have adopted mechanization. Some of the reasons were from the demand side, such as (1) Farmers do not want to use machines, (2) Farmers are not sure of the sustainability of access to CH service providers, (3) Farmers have limited information about the machines, (4) Farmers demand machines but they do not have access, (5) Farmers harvesting service is decided by tenants/rice collectors. Some other reasons also come from the supply side: (1) Weak open-market strategy: identifying commercially relevant segment failure and how to target the segment, (2) Dependent on loyal/current customers to expand, thus resulting in uneven distribution of penetrated area.
PRISMA engaged machine provider companies to improve market systems of agriculture machines by expanding their product market area and information on their machinery. The intervention focuses on disseminating machine information widely to make more farmers aware of the benefit of using agriculture machinery and tools. As a result, this intervention can solve farmers' problems in agriculture.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Specialist will support PT. Angkasa Mulya Trading (PRISMA Partner) by providing 3 days training in maximum to assist PT. Angkasa Mulya Trading (PT.AMT) staffs in developing skill in Corporate Social Media Marketing to better undertake online marketing practices through social media platforms.

The specialist is expected to deliver areas of work as outlined below:

a. Preparing training documents (curriculum, training plan etc) before the training and communicate in pre meeting to PT. AMT and PRISMA before training days. Expected Topics for The Training: * Indonesia Digital Marketing (Indonesia Digital Trends, Know Your Customer: Siapa dan Bagaimana Konsumen Anda, Digital Marketing, Channel Digital Marketing)
  • Social Media Strategy (Introduction to social media, Defining social media, Using social media, Aligning social media to business goals, Indonesian Social Media Insight, Social Media Content, Social Media Planning)
  • Social Media Platform (Facebook Marketing, Instagram Marketing, YouTube - Video Marketing, Tik Tok Marketing, E-commerce: Tokped,Lazada, Bukalapak)
  • Social media Listening and Measurement (What is socmed listen and what to listen for, Helping the strategy and execution, Hootsuite (Tools Social Media Management Platform)
b. Conducting 3 days training placed in PT. AMT office in Surabaya, started from 9am-4pm
c. Submitting Training Report and documents needed for administration and payment purpose.

Required Qualifications:

The consultant must have:
  • Experience as corporate consultant in developing marketing plan and implementation through social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, You Tube) and Online Sales Platform (Tokopedia, Lazada, Bukalapak)
  • Having profound knowledge how to utilize social media platforms as means for marketing company goods.
  • Experience as a trainer proved by list of portfolios
Desirables Criteria:
  • Master's degree in related area (Communication, Marketing, Business etc)
  • Preferable having knowledge on selling machinery goods

  • 3 days training Report Attendance list
  • A day Monitoring Visit (After a week) Report
