Global Freight Services: Service Leader – Indonesia
The Indonesia Service Leader is responsible for leading all aspects of service operations, contract management, business performance, customer relations, and contributing to strategy to drive sales and profitable growth by demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues, engage with the customer, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of services on an operational level with respect to process adherence, service quality, and profitability.
- Ensure execution rigor to deliver on Wabtec’s obligations while meeting or exceeding customer expectations
- Support development of service strategy and assist in bid/proposal development and negotiating with customers.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Technical Advisors, Service Engineers and Materials Management staff.
- Ensure operational excellence and adherence to Wabtec best-practices.
- Establish and sustain a culture that promotes a safe and positive work environment. Assure environmental, health, and safety compliance.
- Interface with cross-functional leaders to resolve issues impacting service execution, fleet performance, and profitability.
- Develop internal operating plans annually and execute to deliver financial performance to meet or exceed targets
- Drive talent hiring, performance setting and employee engagement initiatives with special focus on open reporting to strive for a culture of high integrity in our dealings with suppliers, customers, and other internal stakeholders. Develop team and improve diversity across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree, or associate degree and minimum 8 years related work experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in managing maintenance operations
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role. Able to demonstrate results orientated approach.
- Ability to communicate with Senior Executive Management, all staff levels, overseas colleagues, as well as customers and suppliers.
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
- Ability to connect with customers, and influence customer decisions
- Ability to interact with cross-functional teams and influence positive change
- Strong presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills
