Challenge

The Support Engineer will assist clients with their end-to-end API integration and data needs. This includes * Customizing the API response payload best suited for the client, developing, and deploying workflows for accessing external data at scale within client systems. This role supports the internal and external processes that lead to customer satisfaction, growth, & retention with a focus on connecting customer needs to the identified data capabilities.
  • Managing the incident queue for a Customer’s application and ensuring that tickets raised by the customers are resolved within the SLAs.
The candidate has a strong command of data engineering and has the organizational and management skills necessary to pull from other experts across the Demyst team to deliver client value.

This is a fully-remote role. As you will be supporting clients globally, you will be expected to align your working hours from 4 PM PST - 1 AM PST.

Responsibilities
  • Manage custom solutions and applications for clients’ use-case received from the Client team
  • Integrate Demyst API within the client system, providing requisite support and cadence
  • Raise platform concerns with teams to incrementally resolve and improve our service offering
  • Maintain reports on client production usage to aid operations
  • Continuous monitoring of the production systems, software, and hardware
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix any of the production incidents raised by the customer
  • Answer any service requests or production BAU tasks raised by the customer
  • Occasionally assist with internal helpdesk requests (Access requests & SaaS support)
Requirements

Required
  • Proficiency and experience with Python (or Pandas)
  • Knowledge of API (REST and SOAP), HTTP protocols, API Security, and best practices is a must
  • Knowledge of system validation process / Application Life Cycle Management
  • Familiarity with common data structures and languages, e.g., SQL, JSON, Elastic Search
  • Basic understanding of AWS and components like Lambda, Cloudwatch, S3, Athena
  • Strong alignment with core organizational values
  • Answering the screening questions: all applicants who do not provide thoughtful and detailed answers to the two questions provided in the application form will be automatically disqualified
Desired
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certified or experience with ITIL standards
  • Experience with Jira Service Management including automation rules and reporting
  • Bachelor's in a technical discipline (e.g., computer science, software engineering, data science, etc.)
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and solve complex business needs
  • Any experience working within a data-centric solutions provider, e.g. within analytical consulting or technology providers
  • Familiarity with JavaScript (Node JS and React JS), AI and ML tools like DataRobot, H20, SparkBeyond, Snowflake
