Job Description
The role
We are looking for an Air Freight Manager to join our Global Forwarding Team in Jakarta, Indonesia. The role will contribute to the success of the business by providing excellent air freight service to internal and external customers, increasing gross profit and volumes achievement for all air RFQ both local and regional and ensuring our value proposition matches client’s expectations
As an Air Freight Manager, you will:
- Identify and analyse air freight operational challenges to deliver best solutions to customers internally or externally and build senior management relationships locally and regionally
- Find the best freight price and best services from the vendors or the airlines to meet the customer requirements
- Manage and lead team members to ensure delivered service for both air export and air import operations is excellent
- Manage eekly and monthly reporting on local and regional level
- Be responsible for payment invoicing, bank authorisations etc
- Update monthly market price (General Air Tariff) to all parties who require it (Globally). Ensure correct pricing in all RFQ
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree/Diploma in transportation with PPJK license(customs)
- 5 years+ experience in airliner/freight forwarding
- Problem solving experience for all air freight matters
- Team management and leadership experience
- Sign for export and import customs declarations ( PPJK license holder)
- Strong verbal and written English to communicate with regional clients and stakeholders
- Good communication and negotiating skills with a focus on achieving results
